The Truth About Paramedic Services
Over the last several months the City of Bothell has tried to explain how their paramedic system is the best. First of all Bothell does not even use its own paramedics, they contract that out to Shoreline Fire. During this last campaign they stated the other paramedic systems like the one the Fire Districts use were inferior. They claimed it was a lesser system but now want to use it. Again, there is no data to back-up their claim. This is just another example of the way Bothell deals with change, it is reactionary instead of being pro-active.
This week Bothell announced they were going to put paramedics at station 22 and use the same system that the Fire Districts use, the very system they bad-mouthed earlier. Why the change of heart? King County refused to put paramedics at station 22 or station 73.
Bothell will try to find fire fighter paramedics from somewhere outside their agency. They cannot operate a paramedic program without a specific license and the truth is, there are no agencies willing to do that for them. It is another empty promise in order to keep their kingdom in order.
Please leave well-enough-alone.
